As I pulled into the driveway, my experience began. Love the structures on the property as well as all the trees. Upon entering the house you are automatically taken back to a past era. The wooden floors, the staircase, the baseboards, the ceilings, all with a story to tell. Then I entered my room. The detail and the beauty of this room, the kitchen, bathroom and balcony was extraordinary! It's quiet, clean and easy access. So glad I found this little gem.

Interesting old property where our room was fine . ||About 10 minutes walk into town which was nice with lots of interesting shops and restuarants.||Our only complaint was the fact that you have to go through some preregistration and rely on them sending you codes to get into the property and your room. We did get them eventually but we saw two other groups who had not done this and were struggling to get in.

We rented the main and carriage houses for extended family on a wedding weekend. What an amazing experience to have 9 family group members - 1 location. Rooms were clean, comfortable, well appointed and generous in size. The living areas had plenty of seats and the host was available and accommodating. There was plenty of refrigerator space and kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. What a wonderful stay we had - thank you!!

The estate at Mount Dora is very conveniently located to downtown Mount Dora. You are walking distance to restaurants and shopping the water tours. The grounds are beautiful with lighting all around at night. A cute gazebo. There’s even a covered outside area for ping-pong. The room that we stayed at was the Marigold. It is very updated with a very nice walk-in shower and rainfall showerhead. In the kitchen it was just wonderful. We made our coffee in the morning and could have a quick breakfast before we left for the day.
One thing you cannot tell when you were looking on VRBO is that there is a main house with several rooms and then there is a side building where there are five rooms which is where our marigold was. It was actually perfect. There are rooms above, but it was minimal noise.
Also very clean!
We would definitely stay here again.
We did the Mount Dora golf cart tour before we checked in, and it was great! They gave us an idea of where we might want to go.
There are two doors. The back door went out to a private patio, which I thought was just wonderful.
Check in check out was easy. We actually got to meet the owner as she was on the grounds when we were there.

This beautiful and historical home was perfect for our stay in Mount Dora. The accommodations were perfect. Clean, spacious, and unique charm. Clean and well kept. Conveniently located near great places to dine and only a 15 minute walk to downtown. Highly recommended!!! Nice job to our host, Stephen!!

This is NOT a Bed and Breakfast despite how it is listed on all sites. If you are looking for a quiet place or romantic getaway, pick another location. Despite that, there are some pros and cons for staying here. We booked the Azalea Room.

Pros:
-Spacious rooms, except the bathrooms and shower.
-Prices are fair for a hotel room.
-Convenient/short walk or drive to downtown Mt Dora

Cons:
-Not quiet. Rooms are separated by thin walls. We could hear the neighbors talking. Kids were loud. Even walking the steps was excessively loud.
-Impersonal service. Text messages were the only interaction we had with staff. Check-in and Check-out was all done via text.
-Bathrooms were TINY.
-Showers were lukewarm with virtually no pressure. If another tenant turned on water, your pressure and water temp dropped off.
-If you're tall, don't Book any of the upstairs rooms.
-Poor lighting in and around the entrance. Even early evening, the parking and front approach were pitch black. No holiday decorations (indoor or outdoor) the weekend before Christmas.

My wife and I wanted to give a better review. If you are just looking for a budget rental that allows kids and pets and is spacious, this is probably a good place. Unfortunately, if you are looking for a romantic getaway or a true B&B experience, this just isn't it.

This was a wonderful experience here at The Estate at Mount Dora. The rooms are very clean and the staff accommodating. It is a very short distance to downtown and many restaurants. The rooms are nice, updated and the bed was so comfortable! Our second stay here and we will definitely return

Wonderful Inn in Mount Dora! Our room was the Willow and it was perfect! The Estate in Mount Dora is pet friendly so having the patio off of the back of the room was convenient. The Willow cottage is separate from the main house so if you want complete privacy this is your room. Check in and out a breeze. Every detail from the coffee/tea/creamer to the dog bowl. We had a half kitchen, no stove, full size fridge and nicely updated. Beds were very comfortable. The Estate is a few blocks outside of the main town but walkable and no worry about parking. Relaxing outside of the hub bub. We really enjoyed our visit!
