This is absolutely a beautiful park. We were there this past weekend for a young girls softball tournament. I only have one complaint and it was the bathrooms. They were filthy the whole time we were there after the first games. There were paper all over the floors and no paper to wipe your hands off, no toilet paper in the stalls and water and soap all up under the sinks. I understand a lot of people were there but you should have someone going in and out checking and cleaning these restrooms. Something else people were complaining about was they used cash to get in with but would only take cards for concessions. I know There was a reason but a lot of young folkes don’t have cards and didn’t have anything but cash. Overall a great tournament and we enjoyed our day. 🤷‍♀️

Updated Review (May 2025)

When we first moved to Alabama from Illinois, we were heartbroken to find there were no youth track teams or accessible facilities to support our daughter—who is one of the fastest in the state for her age. It was discouraging to realize that most high school tracks were either damaged, locked, or unavailable due to school team use. That gap is what inspired us to start a youth track program to serve this community.

Back then, 17 Springs gave us hope. It was beautiful, peaceful, and full of potential. We saw an opportunity to grow something meaningful for local youth and were excited when the new athletic track opened. We even left a 5-star review praising its cleanliness, atmosphere, and the opportunities it could offer if the right community connections were made.

Unfortunately, that hope has since turned to disappointment.

As a nonprofit just getting off the ground, we had an approved calendar of track practices for April. But without notice, our most important date was canceled because of overbooking. Soccer was prioritized—on the one field with the track—even though multiple other soccer fields sat completely empty that day. The quoted price to continue using the space was shockingly high for a youth nonprofit program trying to serve the community and grow access for local kids.

We’ve never left a mess. We’ve never disrespected the space. We’ve simply tried to give our kids something healthy and life-giving to be a part of. And for that, we’ve been met with roadblocks, cancellations, silence, and now exclusion.

This experience stripped kids, especially those in the Millbrook/Prattville area, of the opportunity to train, grow, and shine. We’re incredibly disappointed by how this facility is being managed. It’s clear now that despite the shiny new build, there’s little room for “the little guys” who are actually here to serve the youth.

Still, we leave with peace, believing the Most High has something better for us and our mission. We’ll finish this season strong and begin looking beyond this area. Vision without inclusion is just good PR. And sadly, that’s what 17 Springs has become.

— From a dedicated parent, coach, and community member who simply wanted to do good.

This sports park is excellent. Very clean. The concession stand prices are better than anywhere else I have seen. It is still new and under construction, but the baseball fields ,soccer and others are perfect. Only thing that was bad is the bleachers and seating is not built yet. So you either bring a chair or stand at the baseball fields. It has a large in door area that wasn't open, but it looks like it will host many events such as team parties. Maybe even birthday parties. It is 2 floors so has a lot of opportunity to become more than just an event room. Could have an arcade or play center in the future.

These courts are so nice! We were lucky to go when there were not a lot of people since it was cold but these courts are usually full. However, there are a lot of courts so you should find somewhere to be. We had a great experience here.

The fields are nice. They say their public fields yet there always closed unless if there’s practice people to be able to go there and play without it being locked like the leave the tennis stuff open but not the soccer fields like that’s literally the main reason everyone goes there I just don’t understand why the fields are always closed but not the tennis courts

We LOVE 17 Springs. Having young grandchildren that will be playing here for years too come we are so excited to have a first class sports venue that we can pour into as well as the economic impact it will have for this area. We have played soccer and football on the fields already and cannot wait until the 2nd and 3rd phases are complete.

This was a really nice facility. The entire building was very clean, and it was a great place for the basketball tournament.
