Cute shop, never stopped here before while visiting Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree for years.

The owner was super friendly, I even got to hold the little rooster who fell asleep in my hand. The store was small, but organized well and had neat little things all over. I wouldn't mind stopping by again next time to check out more things.

I finally stopped in a couple years ago, been coming out to the desert 16 years, and am now full time local. This is one of my favorite places to support.
This place is heartwarming my inviting and unpretentious. Rita, Patti, and Judy have all helped me immensely with their knowledge of chickens/chicks and how to properly take care of them. These ladies are the real deal if you’re open to listening you’ll learn a lot from them.
I love the eclectic store everything from hand made local items and cbd, to vintage gems tucked in amongst incense and art work. Go support them they are really kind people that know what they are talking about. Also the dog is so sweet.

When you head up to Joshua Tree area, you tend to drive by the many, privately owned stores.

Recently, with the purpose of exploring these shops we found many intriguing stores.

This one is in Morongo Valley and even had baby chick's you could hold. Eclectic and fun.

There's a lovely woman that is their name Rita and I just met her ... I love her whole vibe and everything she's doing and this will be my go-to spot for all my chicken needs from now it was lovely meeting you

Little Rita is the best! She's serious but funny. She's honest and very helpful, as well as knowledgeable about her livestock and feed. She has a cool demeanor, but she's as friendly as they come! She's a consumate business owner and knows her business. I really appreciate that, especially when I have questions about anything feed and/or livestock! And things I know nothing about! Check out her beautiful, tiny resident rooster living large in the shop! Everyone who works there seems happy, helpful, and very personable! It's a good vibe spot that welcomes one in to explore the possibilities of almost anything from feeding infant kittens to owning a flock of chickens or maybe even raising a calf! Go visit the Hippie Chicken! They won't 'steer' you wrong! Lol No pun intended!

Cute animal feed store with vintage, handmade, and altered clothing. Get a business card for the store and Patty; she does custom clothing alterations to old clothes!

Lots of cool metal work outside and a menagerie of decorative items inside. Theres some nice soaps and cbd products as well. I was surprised by the great brand of dog food they carry, along with various feed bags for other animals including horses and chickens.

Patty was both super nice and informative, and the American bully mix named "Smash" is the sweetest shop dog. Very friendly boy.

Got to see the black silky and some of the bunnies they had. Bought some cute earings, jeans, and fresh eggs with my friend.
Totally recommend stopping by if you're ever passing through.
