I spent quite a bit of money at the McHenry location. Love the floor staff. Pleasant and consistent. I am there on an almost daily basis. Reason for the rating is directly has to do with the supervisor. She absolutely does not abide by the same standards as her staff. In fact it is absolutely a double standard. I will not be back again. It's a shame, I did enjoy this location.

Great stuff, but things are quite pricey. The staff can come across as rude at times. Not even a "Hi, how are you?" It gets awkward.

I would highly recommend! Very nice selections. I usually shop for clothes & home decor & love what I find. Prices are reasonable especially when you find something with the color of the day tag. The only negatives are no restrooms for customers & I spend hours at a time there. Also no fitting rooms. HINT: wear something that you can simply try clothes on over it. [LET'S GET THOSE OPEN!] ❤ this store!
I wore this dress that I found in store to a wedding recently! It was practically brand new, it was 50٪ off (tag was color of the day) it was comfortable, & everyone including myself loved it!! I received so many positive comments on it...Thank U Salvation Army & the person who donated it!!

I found a Pitbull banner that said "Live laugh love Mr. Worldwide" here it is truly amazing but they also sell like half used bottles of hand sanatizer for 1.99 like girl what? No one is trying to buy that for 1.99. They also sell holiday stuff all year which is really cute but it messes with my mind kinda because i see all this christmas stuff but then its 116 degrees outside. The radio they have in there does play Prince sometimes though so loves it😍

I was looking for a large suitcase and was sure I was going to have to go elsewhere and pay retail. Fortunately I found a nwt Pierre Cardin roller for 30 bucks!! It retailed for 340!! Thank goodness I didn't buy the Jessica Simpson one from Kohls last night!! It was smaller and 179!! I love Salvation Amy!!

I like it here but they don't honor the prices on their signs. CD's are listed for $1.99 in the media section. Suddenly they're $3.99 when I try to buy them. GET THIS. DVD's "count as" CD's and CD's count as Records on the sign? Even though DVD's are $1.99 on the signs. Pretty backwards honestly not to mention deceptive. Everyone knows what your talking about when you say CD, but not Salvation Army in Modesto. Not a single thrift store or person I've ever known has called DVD movies CD'S. Just weird.

Also, I feel that $3.99 is way too much for thrift store CD's. Alot of the CD's they have don't even have the right disc, no disc at all, or are just janky. Just dumb management. The Hope Chest CD's are $.99 and they actually call them CD's!

I understand poeple steal so they have to keep an eye out...but to make a shopper so uncomfortable following their every move breathing down my neck is way too much!!!! I've never stolen anything and I was treated like a theif! Shame on them! What an awkward experience.
