Courtesy is one the 1 thing that categorizes any business. I have been in many total wine stores throughout the state, and they always welcome us with a smile. Always very knowledgeable about products, massive inventory and their prices are excellent to fair.
I always look at the special discounts and you become a Grand Reserve member, the perks are really great.

The selection of single malt whiskies carried by Total Wine & More is by far the largest and best in the entire Bay Area. If it wasn’t for this place, there would be nearly zero places in the Bay Area to buy relatively rarer bottles, unless you purchase a plane ticket and go to the SFO duty free shops!

Garbage customer experience today led by some real jerk of manager who made it pretty clear from the moment he waddled up to the register that he just didn’t want to do his job.

My partner and I went in to buy a couple of things for New Years and I only realized when we were shopping that I had forgotten my wallet. Yup, no ID, classic liquor store complaint story, I know. But for reference, I am a man in my 30s and there are signs everywhere that say “Under 30? We check ID” so I thought there may be room for reason or judgment here. Luckily, I got a manager with neither of those things in his tool belt. He gave no consideration to the situation, instead just leaning on “policy”.

“Policy”, you say? Oh, are you referring to the “policy” that talked about IDing under 30? What about the “policy” posted on your door that states that “no persons under the age of 21” are allowed inside? Where was your enforcement of “policy” when a lady brought her screaming toddler in? Or what about your “policy” regarding the guy who had two kids in his shopping cart? This manager really didn’t seem bothered by “policy” for these situations. Which, ya know, seems more important to me since kids shouldn’t be around all this liquor….

“Policy” was not what happened here. What happened here was a lazy, inconsiderate manager who decided he didn’t want to do his job well today and I was fortunate enough to be on the receiving end of his attitude. At least it made it his day easier, I guess. Just like I’m sure it made his day easier to conveniently ignore the children that were allowed in, despite their… what’s the word?

Oh, right. “Policy”.

This is an amazing store to find almost anything. The staff is very helpful, accommodating, and friendly. I enjoy spending time shopping here, especially in the wine section. I have found some hidden gems that are worth the price and time.

They have the best prices on bottled water. This is my place to go. Thank you for everything.

Huge selection of spirits from all over the world. People greet you and act like they are glad your here. Prices are lower then similar stores. The store is big, if you can't find something to drink. Your probable not thirsty.
