I have an RV that needed some tires put on. Prior to purchasing the used tires, I called and inquired to make sure that Tread Masters will mount and balance used tires that I brought in - they said yes, no problem.
So, I purchase some used tires from a place in Tucson and have a friend drive them up.
I get to Tread Masters, park my RV, and THEN im told that they refuse to install tires that are more than 4 years old. at first, they said it was the law - but upon question the owner said it wasnt a law, just a preference because he didn't want to be liable for installing old stuff. so hes got plausible reason to upsell me now.
Ok, no big deal. They should have informed me of that beforehand when I called, but mistakes happen...RIGHT? Owner gave no mind about my money, said i could try selling them to someone else in town, but he wasnt touching them.

I then had them order the NEW tires.
They set an appointment to install them the next day.
The next day arrives, and they call me and tell me that they have to delay the appointment by a day, because their delivery truck had some issues.
Ok, thats fine - it happens. RIGHT?
So I show up the next day and drop the keys off as soon as they are open. I am told 2, maybe 3 hours and itll be done.
5 hours later, I call THEM to check, and get told "it just finished".
Ok, cool. a bit late and lacking in the customer service department, but i can deal. RIGHT?
I go look it over, seems fine, so I pay and leave.
Then the next day on my way to Tucson, one of my hubcaps flies off. I was able to find it, but upon further inspection of my wheels, i found that all 3 of the 3 hubcaps (1 was missing to start) had issues. 1 had flown off, another had been tightened incorrectly and so was unable to be pulled off by hand, and the 3rd had been seated covering both the inside and outside valve stems, so neither tire can be inflated again without tools. The hubcap has been screwed on rather tightly and since it was improperly done, it will require tools to undo. As a disabled and handicapped man, im unfortunately going to have to pay for someone else to do this.

I sent an email to the company (because their voicemail is full, and most of the time no one answers the phone) but have not heard anything back from them.
The owner seemed fairly proud of himself when I spoke with him in the store that day. Said he owned TWO businesses (it came up in our discussion about liability for not installing old tires) and I guess he thinks that screwing customers over is a good business practice.

2/5 stars. Next time ill just have them balance the tires since I don't have that equipment myself.
I can pay my 6 year old nephew to install them, that way I will at least know they were installed properly.

*shrug*

Buyer beware.

I paid Treadmasters in Eagar to work on the bearings on my trailer. I picked it up on Tuesday and two days later, the bearings on the passenger side, exploded.

I had to have my trailer towed to a place that specializes in trailers and he said there was no grease in the one side that was still intact. Upon talking to Tom at Treadmasters, it turns out that he did not even know that you are supposed to pack grease into bearing buddies. ?

When the bearings went, it affected my hub and axle and treadmasters has done absolutely nothing to make it right or even warranty their work. Getting them to even respond has been very difficult.

Only take your vehicle or trailer here if you want a headache from people who are not actual licensed mechanics. I recently found that out after I started having problems with this shop. They are 100% at fault and they refuse to make it right. Go anywhere but here.

I ran over a nail and had a flat tire and drove over to these guys. Brittany was able to have me serviced within an hour and they had excellent customer service. I would recommend this place to anybody that needs tires for eager or Springerville.
