I came in wanting to buy my first rifle as I only own a couple of sub compact pistols and had many questions regarding California’s ridiculous compliance standards (in my personal opinion) and spent almost 2 hours talking with various Turners staff, particularly Michael. He thoroughly and patiently explained the pros and cons of each rifle that I had interest in. Together we got the opinion and knowledge of each staff member on shift and I was finally confident in my choice. The staff at Turners when I visited for the first time on 1/28/25 is what every amateur firearm owner should come across. No ego, no unrealistic fears, and no lack of customer service. This staff understands various individuals that come into their store may not be the most knowledgeable on firearms even though we all share the same support for our right to bear arms. Thank you again Michael, John and staff! I will definitely continue to bring my business and recommendations to your store. As I am developing knowledge and somewhat of an “addiction” to firearms I will definitely be a returning customer!

Ken was very helpful and took the time to educate me on my purchase while also sharing a good laugh. Great customer service, and they price match! Highly recommend. It’s rare to find people who want to take the time to explain products, even after the store has closed, but they pride themselves in educating their client base. Recently purchased a rifle from Turner's el cajon and I have to say Matt was so helpful and followed up with my order. My gun was out of stock and he hunted me down one. Easy and pleasant process and was very patient. Thanks Matt.

This place is awesome, Dan who had helped me years ago for my gun is now selling one to my wife, very knowledgeable, helpful and the customer service is great, I recommend going here specially if you are first time buyers and don't know much about guns. I am definitely buying more guns from thus store.

Staff and policy at Turner's is ludicrous. If you want to run in and buy a single box of ammo, be prepared to spend an hour and a half, or more. No staff was able to answer my questions until my number was called, waoted an hour and a half, and they didn't even have what I was looking for. Would have been nice to know before waiting, but that's too much to ask for. If you want a store that will waste your time, this is the place for you. I've had about 5 interactions with this store, and this will be my last. All went about the same or worse. I strongly advise you spend your money elsewhere. I know I will be.

One of the best gun shops in San Diego. Turner's Outdoorsman will take care of you.
If it's buying a gun or selling a gun it doesn't matter. Half of the stores is a fishing shop. They have it all and will take care of you.
