Dockside exceeded my expectations! It is a beautiful hotel! Everything was super clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The shuttle to City Walk is super convenient and comes frequently both to and from the park, we never had to wait for a bus. The only negatives for me are that I wish there was a microwave in the standard rooms, not a huge deal, but would be convenient, and the walls were pretty thin, and unfortunately our neighbors were LOUD until the wee hours! My kid was able to sleep through it though! That being said, I would definitely stay here again, and want to start planning my next vacation!!

Everything was great. Hotel is clean and spacious. Staff were all friendly and helpful very attentive. The pool is great and has a cute little beach for the kids. So many life guards on staff each day. The little market gets busy but the food is great. Serves breakfast lunch and dinner. And buses to the park make it so easy to get to and from the hotel. Could not say enough great things.

I stayed at this resort for 8 days between March 25 to April 2nd. I enjoyed my room very much. Even though they were kids running up and down the hallways most days. But it was very quiet at night. The free shuttle to Universal was a huge plus the shuttle pretty much ran all day every day. The Pool was alright, I only used it once. The pool was shallow only at max was 4 foot 9 inches deep, I guess to cater to Families and their kids. The on site market for food and drinks was nice, I only used it once because it was just so packed full of guests. On site Starbucks was nice and the Universal store on site was good as well. The only thing I didn't like was the parking 25 dollars plus tax a night was a bit much. But every hotel in Orlando is charging you for something either in parking or resort fees. Overall I will stay at this hotel in the future when Epic Universe opens eventually.

The rooms are nice in size and the location is ideal. Plus they offer free transportation to the parks, but of course you have to pay to park at the hotel and is cheaper than paying to park at the park itself. So, you have to think of which one weighs out better in your situation. I must say these hotels are setup to be their most economical hotels and some of the things from the hotel you can see why. They don't offer lotion in the room(we didn't ask if they have it if you call them so I don't know if they give you some of you ask), the towels in the room and the pool towels are cheap and thin, and the walls are thin and you can hear guests or bathroom plumbing and things in the room while you are trying to sleep. But, overall the hotel is fine and nice to stay to go enjoy the park or their pool.

We stayed in a Family Suite for a week while enjoying the parks. This was our first time staying on property and it did not disappoint. We had a wonderful experience both at the hotel and in the parks. Our only complaint is that one of the nights we closed down Universal Studios and waiting for the bus took forever. The room was a perfect size for our family of 4 and it gave us plenty of space to spread out. The pool was heated and was refreshing after a long day in the parks. We would definitely stay there again!

beautiful modern resort with great amentities. Super clean and friendly staff! Awesome to have an on site Starbucks! 5-10 min free shuttle bus to universal with low wait time. Super convenient dining with grab and go and beverage bar, self service microwave, and coffee refills. Plenty of dining seats to accommodate morning rush and a bar with tvs to relax for a drink.

This hotel is the quick-serve, Carnival Cruiselines of the Universal properties.
We opted for this vs a newer or different level hotel due to the suite option. Spoiler alert; it’s not a true suite, but worked out fine for our family. 3 queen size beds, a microwave, mini fridge, and baby coffee pot.
This hotel can be described in 2 words: Self Service. You won’t find a full service restaurant or bar there.
It’s pretty clean, and the staff is friendly. They serviced the room each day, which is a nice surprise after many Marriott properties have stopped doing that.
The shuttle to the resort was a great amenity and better than driving and parking.
Parking a car is less expensive than on the east coast. So that was a nice surprise.

Besides some issues checking in, my family and I had a great time staying here. It had beautiful views of the city and the Pier 8 market had some really delicious and quick food. The busses ran fast from the park and back. Despite the crazy spring break crowds this hotel was still able to give us a great time. Loved just sitting by the pool and the views of the hotel don’t disappoint.
