So we recently were in the market for a little commuter car. I’ve been renting for a couple of years and my absolute favorite rental over that period of time was the Kia forte. Obviously the forte is no longer made so we researched purchasing one that was a couple of years old and it just didn’t make sense from a price perspective. The new Kia K4’s are just slightly more expensive, even than a barely used Kia forte that is a couple of years old. This brought us down to Valley Kia. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a salesman by the name of Walt. Very nice young man and had pretty good knowledge of the vehicle. I was interested in the K4 purely because of the price point, the fact that the vehicle is still comfortable for a big guy like me (I stand at 6’2” tall and 260 pounds; don’t judge, I’m working on that hahaha) and Kia offers a ton of features in their base packages. To me you combine this with a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty along with the rest of warranties brought by Kia and it is a no-brainer.

Now I will tell you that previously I had a Camry which I got over 300,000 miles out of. Camry‘s are nice but they’re expensive. I drove multiple Corolla’s and they feel like tin cans on wheels. Very outdated on the inside everything shakes and rattles, and just not the comfortable, smooth, & quiet ride that I got from the Kia and they’re more expensive than Kia.

We knew exactly what we wanted, down to the color so Walt took me for a test drive. I got some final numbers from the finance folks inside with swiftness and let them know I needed to speak with my wife, remember, happy wife happy life.

That evening, Walt sent me some follow up text messages and I let him know that we did want to move forward with a deal and I would likely be back the next day to finalize everything. Walt was going to be off so I ended up working with a gentleman named Kevin. Kevin was absolutely phenomenal as well. Very outgoing we hit it off and talked a lot about football, coaching, sports, and kids/family while the paperwork was being done.

Once everything was ready, I got handed over to Martin, one of the finance managers. Again, super friendly and outgoing, what a great guy. Quickly made a personal with me connection which I appreciated. It was a quick and easy process, they met all the terms I needed for my situation, and the deal was done start to finish within a matter of a couple hours.

That evening, we drove away in our brand new Kia K4 and let me tell you although it’s only been a few days, We love this car and we were extremely happy with the experience we received at Valley Kia.

Even after we bought our car, they followed up to make sure we were happy with our purchase and let us know they were there if we had any questions. That kind of customer service is hard to find, and it really made an impression on us.

I have bought and sold multiple vehicles at this dealership, as well as getting routine maintenance (and warranty work) done, and this is a standup dealership ran by a professional leadership team. During COVID I had to go to a different Kia dealership in the valley and it was night and day. I ended up pulling my Kia out of their service department and send it to Valley Kia of Modesto.

1. predatory salesmen 2. Be prepared to have to update ur infotainment console often. They can't do this remotely do u will have to visit the dealership often to do this. I ve had to do mi e twice n it s a major all day thing and very inconvenient! Also the maintenance warranty they sold me is only good at this location, which they did not tell me at the time. I moved n I was not able to get free oil changed n tire rotation anymore even though I paid for it upfront. I have to cancel it, then wait for it to process, then add a new one to my financing at my new location. Again very inconvenient! Also the ppl who wash the here do a horrible job. I ve had to rewash my car everytime.
