⭐ 4/5 – Good Vibes, Solid Coffee, A Bit Pricey

Verve Coffee is a great spot for anyone looking for a relaxed atmosphere and a solid cup of coffee. The space is modern and inviting, making it a great place to work, meet up with friends, or just enjoy a quiet moment with your drink.

☕ The Coffee: 4/5

The coffee and espresso are good, definitely above average, though not the best I’ve had. Still, it’s a reliable spot for a quality cup.

🍽️ The Food: N/A

I didn’t try any food, so I can’t comment on that.

🛎️ The Service: 4/5

The staff is friendly and gets drinks out quickly, even when it’s busy.

🏡 The Atmosphere: 4/5

The vibe is great—modern, stylish, and welcoming. It’s a comfortable spot whether you’re working or just relaxing.

💰 The Verdict: A Good Coffee Shop, Just a Bit Pricey

✅ Good espresso and coffee
✅ Nice atmosphere, good for working or hanging out
✅ Friendly and efficient service
❌ A little pricey for what it is

Would I come back? Yes! It’s a solid choice for a quality coffee in a great setting.

Love visiting this coffee shop! Heard a lot of positive things about Verve and they are all true! Had a nice mix of modern and traditional coffee drinks. The cashier was kind of answering all my questions. The single origin Kenyan pour over was delightful.

It is very popular so expect seats to be full! I visited in February but in the summer they have a lot more seating outside. Highly recommend!

We were strolling around this area in Palo Alto and came across Verve by chance.

We went in and ordered Cappuccino & an interesting cold coffee - Missile. Now, I mentioned while ordering that I would be sitting in the store while having the coffee. I still got the take away plastic glass. Both the drinks were good otherwise. 5 *s for the vibe. 4* for service.

Had tried this coffee before from a subscription and wanted to try it from an actual location. Definitely was not disappointed. Coffee was great and service was excellent. They even offered to make a drink for the wife that was no longer on the menu. Greatly appreciated.

I wanted to go to an independent coffee shop on University Avenue. This one looked like a spot you could put out your laptop and get some work done while enjoying a more indie experience. The reason I ultimately did not go here was because the seats on the patio were not in the sun on a sunny dry day and that’s what I needed. After about 1 o’clock the sun start setting on this patio.

I got hot latte ($6) to go.

Bad things:
-They don't know how to make upside down latte, so I am upset about that.
-Bitter and burnt coffee just like in most coffee shops in Bay Area...
-Gigantic queue to place an order (there were 2 cashiers though).

Good things about the place:
-Plenty of sitting though inside and cute big terrace outside.
-Staff is nice.
-Limited 2hr free street parking available. -There is an option for ceramic cups (not only to go paper cups like in most places).

However, I will not return.

Okay, so I’m slightly disappointed. The service was solid, the latte was delicious, and the coffee shop itself was quite a nice place to relax. So, why not 5 stars, you might ask?

Well, I ordered the breakfast sandwich… They ran out of bacon for it and subbed in prosciutto, no charge. That was a fine solution to that problem, but the real problem was everything else on the sandwich. The egg seemed like some egg patty you get in the freezer isle, and there was a horrible… sauce(?)… on it. It was like ketchup, but somehow worse. And the worst part? With tip, I paid over $20 for my iced latte and that very underwhelming sandwich.

Now, all that said, the coffee was quite good. So, if you do go here, enjoy the coffee, the ambiance, and whatever you do… don’t get the breakfast sandwich.

EDIT: Gave this place another shot today, and the coffee was really good. Instead of the breakfast sandwich, I got a couple of their baked goods, and I was very happy with what I had.
