This place is one of the WORST liquor stores I’ve been to. I only ever go here because it’s conveniently located in the Kroger shopping center near me but trust me it is more worth it to drive a little longer for a better liquor store. Firstly, this is the most cluttered and unorganized liquor store with just an okay selection that you could find anywhere else and for a way better price. Even their cigar selection is pretty limited. The main issue I have is they are AWFUL at checking IDs. Every time I go here they treat me like I am suspicious and will double or triple check my ID whereas most places will check it once. Every time I come here they are so rude to me and from other reviews it looks like it’s not just me.

This recent time on 3/22/2025 was the worst experience yet that nailed this place in the coffin for me. The man at the counter told me I had a fake ID before he could even check the date and was almost like he had his mind made up before he even saw my ID. I thought he was joking since I am almost 24 years old and don’t look super young but soon realized he wasn’t when he began to pull the liquor off the counter. I was absolutely floored that he was blatantly accusing me of trying to lie to him. After telling the man it was real and getting frustrated he eventually sold me my alcohol but I will NEVER come back here.

Trust me, you can have a much better experience and alchohol selection literally anywhere else. This place is the worst and the people who work here/own it are rude as hell. I saw someone say people in their 20s should stay away from here and I 100% agree. They will treat you poorly and act like you are a suspect.

This place is amazing. They have a fantastic collection of bourbon, rum, whisky, vodka, rye, etc. The store is literally packed with excellent barrel picks, hard-to-find items, and hidden gems. Jay, the owner, is more than happy to show to something you will love. And he always has the story for how he found these bottles... Amazing!
So, make sure to drop by and buy something you never expected, or exactly what you were looking for. Even found a Bardstown Foursquare Collaboration bottle.

Make sure you check your bank statements because you will get charged the day you purchased an item from them and the very next day and they try to be slick with it so you check your bank statements. Gotta call my bank in the morning because that’s bullshit.

Wayyyy over priced!! Compact and small store with everything jumbled together. Forget convenience, I’ll drive for better selection and prices. Two thumbs down for me

I'm travelling for work and stumbled across this place and I'm so glad I did! Large diverse selection of bourbon and whiskeys. 6-8 fairly rare store picks. Saw a few allocated bottles and several "hard-to-finds". Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. A few bottles were overpriced which is normal considering supply/demand issues, but a large majority were right on the money or below. Excellent place to stock up and I'll be back soon👍

I'm hesitant to even write this review, because I desperately want to keep this hidden gem to myself, but my desire for Jay to succeed and thrive trumps my desire to keep this place a secret. Vintage Bottle Shop has easily the best selection of Single Malt Scotch of any store in northern Georgia, and it's not even close.

There is an excellent Bourbon and Rye selection as well, but don't go begging for the hot allocated flavor-of-the-week bourbon from Buffalo Trace. Jay is a curator, and is disinterested in playing foolish games in pursuit of tightly allocated showcase bottles. Instead, ask him for a recommendation. He has tried a staggering number of whiskies, and will ask good questions before offering his thoughts on what you might enjoy.

Personally, I recommend checking out his incredible selection of Compass Box blended malts. They really make something for every palate, and Jay keeps all of their core expressions in stock, as well as loads of their limited release offerings.

Best place within 200 mils for bourbon and scotches. Several hard to find items are regularly in stock and the gentleman that owns it knows his stuff as far as whiskey without question. Love stopping by just to see what they have, but alas, my wallet keeps me from doing that too often because I always find something new to try!

This is a great shop with an excellent selection of bourbon, scotch, and all whiskeys. Staff is very knowledgeable and they have a lot of barrel picks! It’s also nice to support a local family owned business.
