Outrageous prices. What used to be the best thrift store in town is now going downhill. Support Teen Challenge instead. They at least don’t rip off their customers anymore on items that they received for free.

I do not care to hear your automated response about your mission. Your prices are outrageous and there is literally no excuse except for corporate greed.

$15 for a cheap made in china coffee mug.
$60 for a glass vase that was $70 new.
$110 for a set of 3 skillets

I guess all of the Waterfront Mission stores are charging outrageous prices for used items now. $15 bucks for a Starbucks cup with no lid is absolutely absurd. $23 bucks for old, scratched up Tupperware. I asked the lady at the register about it and she acted like she didn’t understand me and didn’t know what I was talking about.
The one in Gulf Breeze is no different, a lot of overpriced items there too.

Awesome place for clothing, furniture, linens, shoes, and appliances. Everything you could possibly imagine is here. Complete bedroom sets in great shape. Treasures of all kinds. Inventory changes all the time. Go there often to see what you may want or need. Benefits homeless shelters. People are great! Note: If you need medical appliances like wheelchairs, knee scooters, crutches, and walkers- check with Goodwill 1st-they will give them to you. FREE.

I used to love this place. In the last two years, they’ve begun gouging their prices, and now they refuse to take donations if there’s dirt on them, I was mocked by the donation handler for getting dirt on my clothes as I unloaded an extension ladder). Not sure what changed, but every time I walk in there these days, It feels like they believe they’re doing me a favor by just existing. I didn’t realize I wasn’t good enough for a thrift store until these ladies and gentlemen went out of their way to make sure that I understood my place. I’ve given the place multiple second chances, but I’m done.

Great selection of home goods and shoes. I have found some nice items here. Prices can be a bit high. However, the women that work the check out by the furniture are not very friendly. They seem like they do not want to be there and do not even say ā€œhello.ā€ I have worked retail, and I know it gets monotonous, but at least a ā€œhello, how are you?ā€ Is the least you could do. I say ā€œhiā€ and they say nothing back. It makes me not want to shop here.

Most uncomfortable experience I’ve ever had. Was walking around with my sister and 4 year old daughter, and was followed the WHOLE TIME by one of the workers. So much so that he got up close and personal not once but twice. And once I was trying on shoes he got right up under me, so close he was actually brushing up against me. Of course as soon as I was next to my husband though he retreated back to the other side of the store. Idk if he was just making sure I wasn’t stealing or what, but I still feel like he should NOT have been touching me. I don’t think I’ll be back for a while

Disgusting prices. Broken, chipped glass items for $15-30. They put ugly mismatched/CHIPPED dishes together to call them ā€œsetsā€ so they can price them for $6-10 when you only want one dish. You can’t even look at the whole ā€œsetā€ bc they’re taped together. Random bags of glass items put together so everything inside gets broken which is just a complete waste and a safety hazard. Instead of putting out small individual items/ dishes and price them at $.99 so people can see everything and only buy what they want, they decide randomly, what to put together so they can price gouge. Furniture prices are an actual joke. Beat up old medicine cabinet priced at $30. Random gross barstool with ripped up foam and upholstery for $20. Nasty old couch for $300. All of the managers I’ve seen around are rude. This is the most crooked, most outrageously priced thrift store I’ve ever been to. I’d say what i thought about the ā€œMissionā€ but I’d get flagged.

WFM should be ashamed of themselves! They have totally lost their way as it relates to their initial mission...to help those less fortunate! I just saw an $800 buffet in the "Good will", $30 plates, $10 shirts! These item's are given/donated to you to help people. Now those same people can't afford to shop here!
