I have eaten at this restaurant for over 30 years. The food has always been excellent with the exception of only a couple of times which can happen anywhere. I have always been satisfied and felt it was worth the drive. Yesterday changed my mind. The lower quality of the French fries confirmed that fast food would have been just as good. I don't know why I should drive the distance for fast food quality. The steak fries were worth it in the past as well as the better quality meat. I basically wound up having a hamburger patty for dinner and paying for a meal. I would rather have paid a bit more and had previous quality maintained. Then I went to the restroom to find it with no bathroom tissue or paper towels. Say goodbye to this previous long term customer.

My husband and I came here for dinner and my two star rating is based on my meal.
Food: My husband had the spaghetti and he said it was good. My meal, however, was quite the opposite. Before our meals were served, my husband finished his salad and we had time to sit and talk for quite a while before our food arrived. The kitchen was very slow. I ordered the 10 oz. sirloin, medium, with Texas toast and fries. The toast was good. The fries were nothing at all special, with some being quite dry. The steak was terrible. It was cooked as a well-done steak would be cooked, it was dry, it had absolutely no taste at all, and it was barely warm. One bite was all I could stomach. It was awful. I was not charged for my meal, which was the right thing for the restaurant to do in this situation. The sweet iced tea was good as it was not overly sweet.
Service: Our waitress was ok. After our meal, our debt card sat with the check in the tray while the waitress busied herself with refilling condiment bottles, leaving us to wonder if the waitress takes the payment or if we pay as we're leaving. Communication regarding payment should have been better. The atmosphere: walking into a dark, cavernous silo was not at all welcoming. The inside of the restaurant was all barnwood, and appeared clean. Based on my meal experience tonight, my interest in returning is questionable.

Ordered an 18oz Ribeye, a 10oz Ribeye, a 6oz Ribeye (all with Baked Potatoes), and a Cheeseburger with Fries, along with 2 salads. The Ribeyes tasted like some kind of imitation steaks (there were NO grill marks, looked like they were boiled or steamed instead and was served with Steak Sauce packets instead of a bottle) and the potatoes were very undercooked (hard). The meal was edible but so is dog food. I always enjoy the fatty edges of a steak, but the steak edges was nothing but gristle that had be cut off and discarded as it was TOUGH and tasted like burnt oil. Wished we had all order a Cheeseburger instead. The meal, a whopping $101.25. I did leave the waitress a 10% undeserving tip; she never refilled my tea, so I wound up finishing my wife's tea and drinking a swig of my son's Pepsi. This restaurant was once a 5 Star restaurant in my opinion. Their food was superb and delicious and I always recommended this steakhouse to anyone no matter the distance that they would have to travel because it was that good. But,..... they have severely cut corners and severely overcharge their customers. WAS ABSOLUTELY MY VERY LAST VISIT TO WESTERN SIRLOIN. Will definitely be trying Mel's Steakhouse going forward. Don't waste your money.

My family and I are here for the first time on Saturday during lunchtime. The atmosphere was great! The menu didn't have a lot to choose from especially for the kids. My bf and I both got the 6 oz sirloin meal with onion rings and Texas toast. Our meal portions were very small. My steak lacked flavor and was very tough. Most of it was edible but it definitely wasn't what I'd expect from a steakhouse. The onion rings and toast were good. Our oldest son ordered spaghetti and it came with very little sauce! It was mostly plain noodles. We ordered fries for our youngest son and they lacked flavor. The steak sauce was served in packets, and the ketchup was in a glass bottle. Our waitress never checked on us nor did she ever refill our empty cups! The staff were not friendly and welcoming. I'm not sure why we always see a bunch of cars here when we come to the Moulton area. I personally wouldn't recommend this place. It's okay but nothing special definitely not worth the price due to such small portions. We will not be back!

My Dad suggested this place & boy am I glad he did! I just had a salad, but my husband & 13 yr old had the hamburger steak & my 10 yr old had the 6 oz sirloin. Their steaks were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING. THE BEST STEAK IVE EVER HAD AT A RESTAURANT!! PRICES ARE QUITE REASONABLE TOO.

This was the third time that my family and I has eaten here, And the second time in a row that they left off a member of our family order. Our Waitress of course apologized for the incident. But this was the second time in a row that my grandson didn't receive his ordered. Thus hurting his feelings enough that he refused to even order again. Sounds like to me that the cook needs to learn how to read or get glasses. My family and I will take our buisness elsewhere. Hopefully somewhere where they know how to take care of their customers.
