I am extremely disappointed with my experience at William Sonoma regarding a refund issue that has been unresolved since December 19, 2024. After returning knives that didn’t work for me, following customer service instructions, and purchasing replacements at the Stevens Creek store, I am still waiting for my refund over two months later.

I’ve called customer service multiple times, each call lasting 25-40 minutes, and was repeatedly told my refund would arrive in “3-5 business days.” To make matters worse, the customer service I received was highly unprofessional. Some representatives were difficult to understand, either due to unclear speech or a heavy accent, while others spoke so quietly that I could barely hear them. One representative gave me clear answers, but the issue was still not resolved. Another refused to escalate my call to a supervisor, leaving me stuck without any resolution.

This has been an incredibly frustrating and time-consuming experience, far below the standard I expected from a company of William Sonoma’s reputation.

Unreliable when it comes to online pickup orders. They say an item is available online only to update you hours later to say it is no in stock. Only store I have ever had this issue with

Unreliable, especially on online orders. They may ship an alternative item not requested and will not own up to their mistakes.

My husband and I went into the store with our two kids (12 and 6) and were merely looking at the coffee machines. My 12 year was looking at a specific coffee machine and was telling me about its extra functions when out of nowhere an employee (older lady) yelled at my son asking if he had any questions and to not touch the machine, “there’s a sign here that said ask an associate!” She then looked at the guests she was trying to help them and giggled. Mind you, my husband and I were there and watching our kids. There’s no reason for someone to yell at a child or speak to anyone in that manner. This establishment needs to rethink the way they do customer service and definitely need to better train their employees. I was extremely disgusted with how she treated us that I left. Not worth doing business with them.

Finding this store was a challenge for us. In case you’re having difficulty finding this store, look for Tiffany on maps(located adjacent to Williams Sonoma) or See’s Candies(right in front of Williams Sonoma). It’s located in Stanford Shopping Center.

The service was fast and we were able to pick up the cups that we wanted pretty quickly.
